William F. Stark, 1996
William F. Stark was an american student from Dartmouth who left his University in Switzerland in 1948 to board on the Pamir.

He took part to the last commercial voyage of a windjammer without engine around the Cape Horn.

The passage took 127 days from Port Victoria to Falmouth.

Like Heinrich Hauser and Hilary Tunstall-Behrens, he wrote a book (2) on this adventure. He died soon after in 2003.
